My love.

My love.

Roll over to see me, asleep and deep in slumber.

Curled in a ball at the night’s chill, becoming a thief

Of your body’s heat. As you gaze into me for what you

Find-- what you love, the man---A man, Strong and defiant,

Relentless and self-assured, loving and kind hearted.

Careful! For if you kiss me I will surely move, how does such a man

Sleep so well in front of his woman, so quiet, timid and almost as if he

Was a new born? So submissive and tame.

Without his pride on his sleeves or his ego on his hat he is his

Opposite in his sleep-----what a joy it must be to gaze upon my face to see

The moons gleam kiss upon my cheek, in a room so dark under a fortress

Of white linen sheets. Hear my breath like you see me now, shy and afraid

To be its own self, faint hearted and weak---simply,

Defenseless.

Why am I so vulnerable you ask?

Love tells me to! It tells me to let down all my guards, my wall,

My security, in my sleep is where you find me, where you see the

Joy of my love and the happiness of our relationship, therefore

Anytime we sleep together under a midnight sky, roll over to me and see

My love.
